ADDI PARIS

Daniel de Freitas is a pastor, born into a Christian family, son of the late Pastor Gilmar Xavier Ramos, and the missionary Vanja. At the age of 7, he already preached the word of God, and in 1995, at the age of 14, he went on a mission with his family to French Guiana.

A faithful worker, he assisted in various church departments, and then left for France to pursue his studies in 1998. Congregated in a Portuguese church for 10 years, helping with youth ministry, evangelism, events. In 2009 he married Ana Martins and joined ADDI in Paris. Daniel didn't feel like working with Brazilians because of difficulties that Europeans don't have, but God made him understand that this was his calling; and so he had the conviction that God had sent many Brazilians, Latinos, Africans for a revival in Europe. On July 5, 2009, ADDI Paris was founded, and a first service was held at the home of brother Deyson and Natasha, where there were 17 people. Pr Ezer Cegadas was the leader at that time and Pr. Daniel the deputy. Pr. Ezer Cegadas was transferred to Brazil the following year and the church was without a pastor, it was then that Pr. Gilmar began to pray because there was no pastor to put himself in front of the church. In this time of prayer, God revealed to him that it would be Daniel who should take over the church, and despite his reluctance, the word of God was confirmed.

One day when the service was over, Daniel heard God speak to him, and at the end of the service his wife Ana said that God had spoken to her, and they saw that God spoke exactly the same thing to both of them. So God said that one day they would be at the head of a mission, but they didn't know when. When Pastor Ezer warned that he would have to leave, they were far from imagining that what God had said was about to happen. Pastor Gilmar considered other names to be at the head of the church in Paris, but he had confirmation from God that Daniel would be the one to take over, and he looked at Daniel saying: "it's you Daniel who will take over, my son is the following I didn't want you to know, because I know how difficult it is. But I'll tell you a story here, I spent a month praying because I didn't want my son to take over the church, but God reminded me of the day I gave my son to Him; I didn't want that, sure people would think it's because you're my son, but it was God."

So Pr Daniel de Freitas together with his wife Ana Martins took over the church, and for about 3, 4 years it was a very difficult time, because they had no experience, but God guided them and little by little they formed the identity of the church that we have today, the church has been taking shape with this missionary vision. And to the glory of God we can see the growth of this work.
