The Assembly of God International is a Christ-centered church. Our purpose is to embrace everyone and bring them into a relationship with Christ to fulfill their ministry under the promise of conquering the nations for our inheritance.
(SL 2:8).
They started in 2009, they were responsible for the congregation of PK6, Mayouri and Matinha; then in 2019 they became responsible for the PK6 congregation again. In 2020 they went to Bordeaux assisting in the church with Pastor Jonathan Sena, assisting there in the pastorate with his wife and family. In April 2022, at the Missionary Congress in Cayenne, they felt that missionary call, God had already called them, but they fled. So at the 2022 Mission Congress, Pastor Daniel and Pastor Jacob made the call and they accepted the call to be missionaries in Tours. This call had already started long before, and the experience came from Kourou, from a young age. They were young workers, young leaders in French Guiana. And so they decided to accept God's call on their lives. Where God sent them, they went, they worked alongside the pastors, they had been in this role for many years, but the missionary John did not really want to be in front of a work, but God worked in his heart to understand and accept it. When at the congress in Guyana in April 2022 he felt this call, he spoke with his wife, and she was always by his side, supporting him and they felt safe. Then they made a decision to accept the call. In 2010 Pastor Gilmar Xavier wanted to send them to the mission but it didn't work out, they were too young, they had no experience, and it wasn't God's time either. Missionary Liliane says that the first time she entered the church when she was 11 years old, she felt the presence of God in that environment and little by little she got to know who Jesus was, she got closer and closer, since that day she never wanted to leave the presence of God; at age 17, he met the missionary John, and they began to walk with Jesus together. Ever since they were young, they helped, served in the church, and saw God's purpose being fulfilled.
"It was a wonderful decision, and we have that day in our minds when God confirmed our call. That's why we always say: Fulfill your mission"
Missionary John and Liliane Mota
