ADDI TO MARS

Etienne was born in French Guiana in 1974, in the 1980s his parents decided to return to Brazil so that their children could learn Portuguese and Brazilian culture. When they arrived in Brazil, they had to take extra classes to learn Portuguese and adapt to the new school reality in Brazil. They lived in Salvaterra, a city located on the island of Marajó, and it was there that he had a Portuguese teacher, and that teacher was a Christian, a member of the Assembly of God church.

His teacher always talked about Jesus to Etienne and at the time his whole family was into Pagelance and witchcraft, and they had never heard of Jesus. One day Etienne was invited to an EBF (vacation Bible school), and at the end of the preaching, the preacher invited him to accept Jesus and at that same time Etienne accepted Jesus in his heart; but he accepted because the teacher's brother would have told him; "if you accept Jesus all the infirmities of your house God takes on the cross with Him and you will be healed, and at this time Etienne's brother was very sick, and that's why Etienne decided to accept Jesus when he was 7 years old.

After having participated in this EBF, he went to his house, and when he got there, he ran to tell his family that he had accepted Jesus, but there was a great rejection from everyone, because they were macumbeiros. Etienne's grandfather said that since he had accepted Jesus, from that day on he was not but his grandson, and his grandmother also said that he would not have a Christian grandson, only his mother came to him in secret and told him that he had made the best choice of his life and that he never lets go of this path with Jesus again, because she could not follow this path because Etienne's father did not accept it. The following year, Etienne's father was evangelized in French Guiana by the first Christians from Kourou who had converted through the first missionary sent by the Assembly of God from Natal - Rio Grande do Norte - Brazil.

Pastor Edison Alves was the founder of our current church in French Guiana, and so he decided to bring Etienne's entire family back to Guiana, it was there that his entire family surrendered to the Lord Jesus. As there was no church in kourou, they gave up the land of their house to build the first Assembly of God church in the Portuguese language, which has since become ADDI (International Assembly of God).

Pastor Etienne has committed himself to carrying out the mission that God has prepared for him ever since, and for twelve years he has been pastor in charge of the ADDI church in Marseille, Gap, Montpellier, and the ADDI churches in French-speaking Africa. He carried out several missionary trips in places that are difficult to access and even dangerous, where there is persecution with Christians, but he maintains his faith in Christ unshakable, and continues doing mission and listening to the voice of God.

Pastor Etienne dos Santos is the founder of 58 existing ADDI churches and several home cells in preparation to become a church.
